Brookvale is for those who like quiet beaches and local life, not for city nightlife lovers. Best time to visit is October to March, when the weather is nice. Budget around 300-500 CNY per person. Commuting between areas takes little time, walking is enough. Must-see: Brookvale Beach and Lavender Bay, both peaceful and scenic. Skip North Sydney, too crowded and commercial. Don't rent a car in the city center, public transport is better.
